Custom shaped sofa
In this furniture project, we had been asked for a sofa for a professional office (specifically, a psychologist's office).
The architect in charge of the project had designed, together with his client, a sofa with soft, curved shapes that would also be functional for therapy sessions, with the possibility of moving the backrests to adjust the seating and encourage relaxation and conversation.
The trapezoid shape of the backrests and the ballast and anti-slip technology allow the body to be perfectly supported when sitting by adjusting the depth of the seat.
From idea to design
The design process started from a pencil drawing on paper provided to us by the architect in charge of the project.
From there, we developed the first technical drawings for defining the dimensions and dimensioning the constituent elements of the sofa.
Through 3D modeling, the idea was further refined, visualizing the product in a virtual environment and allowing every angle and aspect to be examined before physical realization. At this stage, discussion with the architect (through calls, photos and videos) was crucial.
At this point, the project reached a stage where it could be physically implemented.
