Etro was founded in 1968 by Gerolamo Etro as a textile company. Etro’s main stylistic design in the first ten years in business was paisley, a drop-shaped plant pattern of Persian origin, introduced in 1981 by Gerolamo Etro himself after a trip to India.
Even today, Etro is a family company and still produces high-quality fabrics.
The distinctive feature of Etro’s collection is in-depth knowledge of the art of fabric, which enables the selection of the best raw materials and the study of designs and stylistic motifs.
