Fortuny
We have been authorized dealers for the Fortuny Fabrics for more than 40 years. It was in Venice at the beginning of the 1900 that Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo, famous Spaniard artist and photographer, created these sublime hand-printed fabrics of immediate success. Fortuny developed a secret method to hand- print the designs and where the polychromy was, and sill is, given by different colors painted one over the other together with gold and silver . The final effect is unique. Every fabric is different than the other becoming a real piece of art. The Fortuny Fabrics are still made in the very same factory in the Giudecca island, in Venice, following the same process. The Fortuny fabrics are available in more that 50 different patterns and more than 250 colors.
